Greetings, Office Insider!

We're thrilled to announce that the Dark Mode feature in Word is more extensive. You could previously use Word with a dark ribbon and toolbars, but your document color stayed bright white. Now, Dark Mode in Word offers a dark canvas as well!

Using this feedback and your telemetry, we have resolved these issues (and more!):

  • On Windows Beta Channel, we fixed a problem where Excel would unexpectedly quit when you added a Name in the Define Name dialog.
  • On Mac Beta Channel, nested compose windows no longer remain open for certain messages after sending in Outlook.
  • On Android, you can now add, edit, and delete images inside PDFs.

Read about these fixes and more in our release notes.
