Greetings, Office Insider!

We have been hard at work expanding our offerings on insider.office.com to provide you with all of the information you need to get the most out of the Office Insider program. One example is the addition of a “For Business” section, which features deployment instructions specific to Office 365 ProPlus on both Windows and Mac and feature highlights that are most relevant to businesses.

Office for Windows - Insider: Be more expressive in your presentations by using ink replay in PowerPoint. We’ve heard about all the cool ways people are using ink in their PowerPoint presentations -- anything from adding some extra flair and visual interest, to increasing the effectiveness of your slide content. Previously, the animation of ink on the slides was limited to standard shape animations. Now, you can apply the new Replay or Rewind animations to ink and get the drawing effect directly in your presentations! You can adjust the timing of these animations to be faster or slower to match the experience you want.

Office for iOS and Android: Dynamic Arrays for mobile. The magic of one formula, many values has come to mobile! iOS and Android Insiders can now use Dynamic Arrays, as well as six related new functions – SORT, UNIQUE, FILTER, SORTBY, SEQUENCE, and RANDARRAY – from their mobile devices!

Office for Windows & Mac: Sketchy Shapes. It can be hard to convey to reviewers or colleagues that a work is in progress to your audience without using an obtrusive “DRAFT!” watermark that covers up your work. But what if there was a better way? With Sketchy Shapes, now there is! Apply the Sketchy style to any Office shape, and immediately get that “work in progress” look. Go back to the default style, and you’ve got professional looking slides that are ready to be shared broadly!

Office for Windows - Insider: Get Location Suggestions in Outlook. Finding the right place to have your meeting can be tough. Is our usual room available? Where’s the closest coffee shop? With location suggestions in Outlook, wonder no more! Simply click in the Location field in the meeting invite, and Outlook will suggest meeting rooms for your organization. Start typing, and it will pull up public places from Bing Maps, other locations from your location history, and meeting rooms that fit your criteria! All you have left to do is pick the one that suits your needs!

Office for Windows: Recommended Documents. When collaborating with others, it can be hard to stay on top of recent activity that has taken place on shared documents, and tough to decide which documents to pay attention to first. The Recommended Document list puts the most relevant documents to you front-and-center when you open Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio, noting the most important activity that has occurred on each of those documents in the upper left corner.

Office Insider Tips & Tricks

We’ve brought together many of our Insider programs. Many of you, Office Insiders, are also fans of other Microsoft products and services. Over the past several months, we’ve been working across Microsoft with the community of Insider programs to make it easier to find out what programs are available, how to sign up, and how to keep up with what’s going on in each. Check out the insider.microsoft.com site, explore the different Insider programs that Microsoft has to offer, and join the ones that interest you.

Do you have friends or coworkers who you’d like to introduce to the Insider program? We spent some quality time with several of our Office Insiders and Office MVPs during a recent event in Redmond and asked them why they choose to be an Office Insider. If you’re always telling people about why you like being an Office Insider (first tell us on Twitter!), then you might also want to share this video and give them even more reasons to consider joining the program.
