Microsoft Productivity Score, a new analytics solution that helps you understand how work gets done in your organization, is transitioning from preview to general availability.

Key points

  • Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 66866
  • Timing: admin control available October 29, 2020
  • Roll-out: tenant level
  • Control type: admin control
  • Action: review and assess by December 3, 2020

[How this will affect your organization]

Users that have the Reports Reader role or higher permissions in the Microsoft 365 admin center will see insights on the people experiences within your organization as it pertains to communications, content collaboration, meetings, mobility, and teamwork. They will also see insights on technology experiences as they pertain to endpoints, network connectivity, and Microsoft 365 Apps health.

This feature does not affect the end users of Microsoft 365/Office 365 solutions.

[What you need to do to prepare]

From now until October 29, you can access Productivity Score in preview after you accept the terms.

  • By enabling the preview, you can review a subset of the features to better understand capabilities.
  • If you enable the preview before October 29, you will see an additional set of features on October 29.

If you choose to not enable the preview, on October 29 Productivity Score will be generally available but will be not enabled by default.

On October 29, Microsoft 365 admin center will have a new control that allows you to disable the people experiences in Productivity Score. Find it by going to Settings > Org Settings; under the Services tab, choose Reports.
Settings

On December 3, Productivity Score will transition to default On for any tenant that has not actively set the admin toggle to Off.
