Tips & Tricks

Do you have friends, family, or teammates in different time zones?

The Taskbar’s clock and calendar flyout can display up to two additional clocks. Great if you need to convert the time regularly.

Wanna try it? Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time and select Add clocks for different time zones.

Pin Microsoft To Do lists to customize your Start menu

With the updated Start menu design that’s rolling out, there’s no time like the present to make your Start menu feel a little more personal. Did you know that you can pin your Microsoft To Do lists to your Start to see a preview of what’s on your agenda?

To pin one of your lists, just open Microsoft To Do, right-click on the desired list in the navigation pane, and select Pin to Start.

You can also pin other things to the Start menu, including clocks from the Alarms & Clock app, notebooks from OneNote, the current weather in different cities via the Weather app, and your frequently used Settings pages that you want easy access to.

Emoji and kaomoji at your fingertips
When you’re communicating purely through text, sometimes you need a little something extra to help express yourself. Long gone are the days when you need to copy and paste emoji from a website —just press the Windows key plus Period (.) or the Windows key plus Semicolon to bring up the Emoji Panel. If you switch over to the kaomoji section, you’ll also find familiar expressions like shrug ( ¯\_(
)_/ ¯) and gimmie ( _ ).
