We're giving you a sneak peak of the Briefing email

Admin FRE Background

As an IT admin, you're getting a two-week preview to experience the value of the Briefing email before it's released to your organization.

Every workday, you'll receive an email that surfaces important items related to the day ahead. This preview will help ensure you're familiar with the experience when it's rolled out to your colleagues.

How the Briefing email benefits the people in your organization

Be prepared for meetings

Review documents and tasks related to upcoming meetings to help better prepare for what's ahead.

Open related documents and emails directly from Briefing without needing to search through your files and inbox to locate them.

Admin FRE Meeting prep

Keep your commitments

Follow up on commitments and requests from your email that might have fallen through the cracks.

You can mark a task as done, and it won't be shown again, or dismiss tasks that are not relevant, which will help Cortana understand what type of information is helpful to you.

Admin FRE Tasks

Protect your time

Dedicate time on your calendar to work on outstanding tasks and prepare for meetings without interruption.

Admin FRE Focus time

Admin FRE privacy

Data security and privacy

The Briefing email is only visible to the recipient and contains summarized information surfaced from their O365 mailbox. It's GDPR compliant, and users can unsubscribe at any time using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. For more details, see the privacy guide.

What to do next

Step 1

Try it for yourself as you start receiving the daily Briefing email. You won't receive an email on days when Cortana doesn't have any suggestions.

Step 2

Follow the instructions for controlling who in your organization will receive the Briefing email.

Step 3

Review the documentation and other guides on how to use and pilot the Briefing email.
