We're proud to announce Amanda Langowski as the new lead for the Windows Insider Program. Amanda’s passion for Windows is clear throughout her 20-year career at Microsoft, which began with coordinating beta programs for Windows. Since then, she’s been an extraordinary and dedicated product maker who’s obsessed with customer feedback and helping connect our engineers and users. We look forward to her leading the program and enhancing the Windows Insider experience.

Share a link to a specific slide in PowerPoint

Do you ever work on presentations that have dozens (if not hundreds!) of slides, and you’re looking for feedback on a single slide from a specific colleague? Rather than sending a link to the entire presentation, you can now send the reviewer a link to the specific slide you want them to contribute to. No confusion, no wasted time

Tips & Tricks

Clipboard history is an option in Windows, thanks to your feedback

Have you ever accidentally copied something on top of the thing you were saving on your clipboard? Clipboard history can help - just press WIN+V to enable it and get started.

Cut down on distractions by using Focus Assist

Do notifications distract you when you're trying to get stuff done? Focus Assist can suppress notifications when you need it. Set it to activate automatically with the rules in Focus Assist settings or turn it on manually via the quick actions in the Action Center.

Naming comes to virtual desktops

Virtual desktops are here to help you cognitively separate the different things you’re doing on your PC. Thanks to your feedback, in 20H1 builds you can now choose to name them! Select the Task View icon or Win+Tab, then add a new desktop. When you select the desktop name, it will become editable.
