Major update: Announcement started

Applied To: All

As described in MC193609, self-service purchase capabilities will soon be available for Microsoft Power Platform products starting with Power BI. This post is a reminder of these capabilities and dates.

  • January 14: Power BI Pro
  • January 28: Power Apps and Power Automate (previously Flow)

Self-service purchase will be available first in the United States, followed by other geographies beginning in February.

For additional information related to self-service purchase, including available geographies, please see the self-service purchase FAQ.

[How does this affect me?]

If you prefer to control self-service purchase capabilities, you can do so on a per-product basis using PowerShell. Self-service purchase capabilities are not available for customers who are eligible for Government, Nonprofit, or Education offers. If this applies to your organization, no additional action is required to control self-service purchase at this time.

For additional information on controlling self-service purchase, see Use AllowSelfServicePurchase for the MSCommerce PowerShell module.

[What action do I need to take?]

No action is required. But to help prepare your organization for the release of self-service purchase for Power Platform products, check out these additional resources.
