New Features for Insiders

New features release weekly for Insiders in Fast and monthly in Slow/Monthly Channel (Targeted). A few of the ones we’re excited about are below!

Microsoft Search

If you’re an Office Insider on Windows Desktop in the Insider channel, you might have noticed a new “Search” bar at the top of your apps. With Microsoft Search, you can find all the files, actions, people, and help you need to get work done. Click the Microsoft Search box, or press ALT+Q, and, before you even type anything, Search will recall recently used commands and suggest other actions you may want to take based on what you appear to be doing. If you're using a business edition of Office 365 you will also see people you frequently collaborate with and files you've recently worked on.

Live Captions and Subtitles in PowerPoint on Mac

Live Captions and Subtitles are now on Insider Slow on Mac. When presenting, you can have your words automatically shown on the screen as captions or translated into subtitles in another language for your audience. Just toggle subtitles right from Slide Show or Presenter View. For best results, use a headset microphone.

Insiders like you are what make Microsoft products great, and the team is eager to hear from you and learn from your experiences. Join the community and stay up to date on their progress.
