New Features for Insiders

This month, we’ve got a couple of new features you’ll want to check out and we’d love to know what you think.

Ever had a hard time finding the right symbol you need to create an equation? Now, you can leverage Office’s Intelligent Services to ink your equations directly on a PowerPoint slide, and then convert them to math text.

CONVERT INK TO MATH IN POWERPOINT >

We’ve heard from you that quickly locating the file you want is not as easy as it should be. So, we’ve added a Search box in Backstage to speed things up. Just type a few keywords and get your file in a snap. We want to know what you think, so please use the smile/frown buttons in the top right and include #OfficeFileSearch in your comment so that we can easily find and respond to your feedback.

SEARCH OVER YOUR RECENT FILES >

Don’t forget that you can learn more about all of the new feature releases by going to our blog and filtering by Insider Fast or Slow and by platform.

Office Insider Tips & Tricks

Many issues you may run into with Insider builds of Office are resolved by installing the latest available updates. Be sure that you always are up to date by turning on Automatic Updates.

On your PC, launch any Office app, and go to File > Account (or Office Account in Outlook). Under Product Information, click on Update Options > Enable Updates. If Automatic Updates are already enabled, you will see a Disable Updates option instead.
