Microsoft adds To-Do to Office 365

Organization: HCS COMPANY

New Feature: Microsoft To-Do for Exchange Online subscriptions

Major update: General Availability rollout started

Applied to: All Customers

We are excited to announce Microsoft To-Do as an updated Office 365 feature. To-Do helps you manage, prioritize, and complete the most important things you need to achieve every day.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 34338.

To-Do will rollout starting in early March and will finish by the end of the month.

[How does this affect me?]
To-Do will be available via the app launcher for Office 365 Exchange users starting in early March. To-Do licensing will be assigned by default, if you wish to remove To-Do licenses for your organization, you may do so by following instructions at Assign Microsoft To-Do licenses.

Additionally, To-Do licenses will allow users to use the downloadable To-Do apps for Windows, iOS, and Android. A To-Do license is not required for users to be able to use the To-Do web application hosted on https://to-do.office.com though licenses will control the visibility on the app launcher tile.

[What do I need to do to prepare for this change?]
You don't need to do anything, but may consider updating your user training, and notifying your helpdesk.

If you wish to disable To-Do licenses for your organization, you may do so by using the Microsoft 365 Admin Portal to manage licenses or by running PowerShell scripts to manage multiple users' licenses at once.
