Project Roadmap is now available in Project Online

Organization: HCS COMPANY

Reminder: Project Roadmap is now available in Project Online

Major update: General Availability rollout started

Applied to: All Customers

As previously announced in MC151278 in October of 2018, we’re releasing a new feature called Project Roadmap for Project Online organizations. This reminder is intended to alert you that the feature is now available for your organization. Project Roadmap is off-by-default, and requires administrator action to enable.

This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID: 42209.

[How does this affect me?]
Announced at Ignite 2018, the new Roadmap feature will give users in your organization a cross-functional, big picture view of all projects underway. With Roadmap, it doesn’t matter whether your teams are using Microsoft Project or Azure Boards (formerly VSTS). You can create timeline views of multiple projects – complete with key dates and milestones – so that all the work is visible in one place.

Enabling Roadmap for your organization will not impact the existing user experience within Project Online. Users will only see a new option to create a new Roadmap from Project Home under the create new button.

[What do I need to do to prepare for this change?]
In order to enable Project Roadmap for your users, in your Microsoft 365 admin center, you will need to go to Settings / Services and Add Ins / Project Online and enable the option to “Turn Roadmap on or off for your entire organization” so that your organization can start using this new feature.

If you do not want to enable this feature, then there’s nothing you need to do to prepare for this change.

Please click Additional Information to learn more about Project Roadmap and the steps you need to take to enable it.
